In the midst of planning for our first residential Camp as our fifth Adventure Day it occurred to me that I hadn’t shared our ‘mini meet ups,’ Whilst Adventure Day is amazing – it’s once a year (it takes a good few months to plan!) and some people have to travel a long way. With that in mind we trialled the idea of mini meet ups.
Up to date we have had a climbing session in Sheffield – led by Woody, a couple of one day meet ups for different ages at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park – led by Jane and a Golf Day at The Liverpool Open with the EDGA led by Katie.

These were all successful events and we know that meeting other young people who also have a limb difference makes a significant impact on our children.
Mini meet ups could just be 2 or 3 families who meet up at a local play centre or park – if you fancy trying to organise your own meet up get in touch if you want support.
Bianca is looking into a meet up for our Scottish families and Emma is investigating a surfing day in September.
We are really looking forward to meeting many of you at Adventure Day and this year we will have a LimbBo tent so come and put a pin in our location map so everyone can see if there is someone close to them.
