Camp LimbBo 2026

This was our fourth camp, no rain, lots of laughter, new experiences, new friends and priceless memories made.

As always I need to start with a quote – ‘Your tribe isn’t the group that asks you to fit in – it’s the group that makes fitting in unneccessary’

Watching these children spending time together, relaxing and being themselves is why LimbBo is so important.

‘The difference in this boy when he is surrounded by ‘his people’ is a quote that really resonated. For most of the year our children navigate a world that isn’t always easy but for the whole of this weekend their limb difference is just part of who they are and they can relax surrounded by their LimbBo family.

Children of all ages pushed themselves, supported one another, looked after Flo, helped out…

It’s impossible to sum up the atmosphere, the volunteers go the extra mile, the trustees have worked tirlessly and Adam and Katie need a medal for their dedication (or at least have a couple of days off before planning for Adventure Day starts) Camp LimbBo 2027 and 2028 are booked in (but no we aren’t taking bookings yet). LimbBo continues to grow and advocate for our children. I’ve added some photos throughout as they show the spirit of camp more effectively than words can (the quotes on some are from parents but they are anonymous quotes and don’t necessarily belong the the family of the child in the photo)
A big shout out to Kath, Harvey and Nicole for capturing the spirit of camp in their amazing photos and to Eden for helping out with story telling.

No attention to detail was spared – new additions this year included names on water bottles so we can get them back to the child who has been having too much fun to remember to pick them up! Our Buggy! So useful for getting around camp and hopefully we can utilise this at other events. A camp colouring book. Big Tommy came to camp this year – he obviously felt he was missing out so we allowed him to visit 🙂
